Their office never answers calls. I wanted to arrange a viewing for a property and they kept on cancelling my appointment, now the property is gone- I had booked by tickets to come travel just to see the property. If communication is this poor right now I can only imagine what current tenants must go through. Wont be renting with a company which office is always closes/ don't answer their calls and have such poor communication.

Tenant with these guys for over a year. Please be warned they are highly unprofessional in their behaviour - particularly when challenged or when asking them for assistance. At the time i moved in no Inventory was provided - nor did i complete one as i now understand was my mistake as i ignorantly believed Cityred would be fair at the end of the tenancy.

When i was due to leave the property they tried to charge me almost a 100 to replace 5 bulbs. They were challenged about this - as that is an extortionate amount to pay for lightbulbs and stated that they had made a mistake. The figure they came back was still too much considering a single pack of bulbs would have cost them a fraction of what they were claiming a single bulb would.

After they realised i was not going to be an easy target they became incredibly difficult to engage with. My Main contact began to ignore my emails and any attempts to escalate were also ignored. I called on a number of occasions and was told the manager 'Bilal' was refusing to speak to me. Eventually after going to an independent panel it was found that the charges were excessive and they were changed to something more reasonable.

In my experience Cityred will ignore you, will not follow there own complaints procedures and WILL try and take a liberty as much as they can get away with. Would not recommend to anyone.

I have had no so good experiences with several property agents and agencies but CityRed is fantastic. The staff (Amy) that attended to me was approachable, kind, considerate, honest and very helpful, she indeed represent quality service and good professionalism. I will recommend CityRed to everyone in need of property to rent or buy.

I moved out of a CityRed property in July, I immediately enquired about the return of my deposit as was told it could take up to 28 days and that they didn't need anything from me. I waited 28 days, nothing happened. I emailed them for the next 2 months with no reply. I finally went into the office where Byron was very apologetic and promised to get my deposit back straight away.

I finally got something, but it was 25 short. I have subsequently emailed Byron directly about this but again have no reply. They're a fine agency until you need them to do anything.

If I could give 0, I would to that with pleasure. I can say that it is the most unprofessional behaviour that I ever saw in my life. I had a viewing yesterday for a property. I was waiting outside of the property and noone showed up. When I called them they said that the apartment is rented. They never called me to cancel the appointment, they don't even apologized for letting me wait outside of the property.

The girl I speak with was like laughing with the situation. They are unbelievable. Please read reviews before you book a viewing with them. Everyone is saying the same thing about them. Be careful!

Moved in for almost 3 months, still not seen the inventory and other e-docs that were promised to be sent to me. Tried reaching out throughout the past three months but they were extremely slow in replying (minimum 2-3 weeks turnaround), completely lost contact since last month. Not even the info email replied to me. Extremely unprofessional and pretty much just down right pathetic.

I did not have much choice so I just went with the property available, but as long as you are not in a dire situation, DO NOT EVER SIGN UP WITH THEM! Surprised how good businesses were wiped out and garbage like this managed to not fold up.

I wanted to rent out a flat in the city centre for a year. I searched for 1 bed-roomed properties in Leeds and i saw the link to city red website. I went on there site which was very helpful with good description and pictures. I rang up and the call was answered and dealt with in a matter of minutes, I was very happy with the level of customer service.

I had a viewing for four properties and i moved in one of them in following week, they were very efficient in getting me signed up and have been very helpful with maintenance problems. I have been living at the property for four months and would be quite happy to stay with city red next year as well! Thumbs up!

City Red are without a doubt the worst letting agents I have ever used. The house I moved into in Leeds was dirty, mouldy and poorly-maintained. After having the food cupboards cleaned of mould, the guttering partially repaired, and the overgrown garden chopped back to bare earth, the landlord made an unannounced visit and declared that we were "costing him money", and that all future requests for maintainance should go through him.

City Red were unconcerned when I told them that the landlord made an unscheduled visit, and were willing to let him take over the responsibilty for maintainance. The house had a serious problem with damp which was causing mould and mildew to grow inside the house. The landlord's solution to this was not to fix the guttering properly, which was an obvious cause of the problem, but rather to bring round an 800Watt dehumidifier which he suggested we run every night at our own expense. Getting the deposit money to be returned proved very difficult.

I had been quite careful when filling in the inventory to make a note of anything which was dirty or damaged but I had neglected to put down that the sink had a crack in it. The crack was already there when we moved into the house, but we still had to pay 95 out of our deposits for a replacement. Eventually, four weeks after moving out of the property we got some of our deposit money back.

This is disgraceful behaviour, and to my mind demonstrates that City Red clearly puts the interests of its landlords well before that of its tenants. Students beware, in my experience City Red are not a trustworthy company, and they will try and keep your deposit at the end of your tenancy. There are certainly much better letting agents for students in Leeds. Stick with Unipol!

So you're just walking out of a lecture back to your Hyde Park abode and its that time of year when you're getting a bit naffed off with your housemates that never buy loo roll and bam! walk straight into City Red before you've even left the University campus. Yes these guys really know how to trap a student. So I fell into the trap of not resting until I had seen every available 2 bedroom house and flat one year and went to City Red.

Basically their properties were ok. Yes. I did just say that. If you have read any of my other reviews of letting agents you may have noticed a tendency to moan about the terrible state of the properties and the hideous way the letters lied through their teeth telling me 'its a nice little property'. So saying 'ok' is amazing! I didn't find the house for me through them but I would consider trying next time.

So. I'm getting on a bit. And fancying myself on the property ladder. Well, kind of. As in, I'm going to rent somewhere. Bye bye mum and dad. Maybe. And here's where City Red come in. I searched 'flats in leeds' on our favourite search engine and they were the first to come up. Their website was nice on the eye and efficient, I'd found a few flats I fancied within a matter of minutes and a couple of searches. So.

I made the call and like thier website, the reps I've spoken to have all been very efficient. Appointments are made, so we'll see if they're nice on the eye too. The flats, I mean.
