Services
Are you on the hunt for student accommodation in Leeds? Here at DEU Estates, we can help get you moving quickly and into a property you will truly enjoy and feel comfortable in. We offer student lettings in Leeds to help get you settled into your new location and school. DEU has been working with students in Leeds for over 50 years so you can rest assured we know what we're doing.
The contract you have signed is a joint tenancy, which means that you are all equally liable for the rent, gas, electric, water, and council tax payments. This is why it is very important that you make sure every tenant has a guarantor. If someone does not have a valid guarantor and fails to pay the rent, then their arrears will have to be paid by the rest of the tenants.
At DEU Estates we have a dedicated lettings team with over 100 years of collective industry specific experience. Whether you are a new landlord with one property looking for tenants or a professional property developer looking for someone to manage your portfolio, we can help. We offer a wide range of services with flexible options so you can choose the service level you require.

Inflexible tenancy starting dates. Its okay for student who are current tenants looking to move. But otherwise July latest only. As a result I have to pay rent for two properties, not something I can do given the already extortionate cost of rent.

Got to be one of the worst estate agents i have come across. Spent over three years living in a bed sit in leeds. In march 2020 I had to go back home due to covid and paid full rent until August 2020. I left the flat as I wasnt using it. Had to leave very quickly got my stuff and allowed the landlord to rent early. When I asked for my deposit back I was stung by a deduction of 120 pounds for cleaning. What a RIP off and I will never use deu estates again.

My friend and I went for a viewing and Olivia showed us around a variety of properties that matched what we were looking for, despite only enquiring about one which was a wonderful thing to do. Very helpful and friendly as well as being professional and gave us all the information we asked for (we asked a lot of questions). The best agent we have dealt with in the three years we have been living in Leeds.

Went for viewings with Daren Rosenbloom today, great salesman and lovely in general. Explained the ins and outs of the properties and gave great advice. However the property wasn't a match but he did drop us off at the pub after!

The estate agent who showed me around the property was really lovely and professional. Her name was Olivia. I feel confident going with them finding the perfect property.

Struggle to find a bad word to say about this agent. Responsive to any maintenance issues and fixed within a day, and if they had to come back because they needed parts etc they always kept me updated and made sure I was satisfied. Nothing was ever too much trouble and always happy to help. Olivia and Stuart were my main points of contact through my tenancy and deserve to be recognised for their outstanding service to the letting agent industry! Thank you for a great year.

I used DEU Estates for the 2 years after my first year in Uni halls. The property we were staying in was in a great location and we had a great 2 years living there. We stayed for a second year because of how much we enjoyed the property and also the responsiveness of the great estate agent team. One of the members of staff that we had a lot of communication with regarding the property was Stuart Russell.

He was a great help with multiple situations and is a great guy to speak to. I would highly recommend using DUE Estates when looking for a property as a student or a professional.

Using Deu Estates has been one of the best experiences for letting agents and I've dealt with a lot! Moving to Leeds, they were reassuring, helpful, informative and helped with a few issues in the property instantly. Couldn't ask for anything better and will now only ever use Stuart and Deu Estates. Brilliant customer service and highly recommend!

We have had a lovely landlord and they have always been easy to contact. The only thing is that they sometimes forget to notify about people viewing the property or they just walk in. But that only happened twice. Just be sure to tell them you want them to email you before they come and also remind them to knock. Other than that they are lovely.

Deu Estates are a company I am happy I used this year. The staff are welcoming and extremely helpful. Stu took us on our viewing and showed us many properties until we found the perfect one for us. We then had to complete the paperwork, which Hayley did with us and was great at answering our questions. Any maintenance issues have been sorted quickly. Overall, I've been happy with the service provided and will recommend them to my friends.

My experience with them was definitely not good. There wasn't communication between the landlord and them. He would just come uninvited in the house to show the rooms and the estate agents didn't know about it. When there was a fault with the house I had to contact the landlord instead of them. My house was broken into and no one would answer their emergency line and because i didn't have to fork out 150 at 9.30pm I had to stay up all night guarding the broken window.

Next morning they came and put a board up and for the next 5 months no one came and fix it. When I was asking the landlord he would say the estate agents had to do it and they in their turn said the landlord had to put a new window. Also first day I moved in I was given a wrong key, i replaced it but every new person would come in the house they would get that wrong key.

A Flashy Website and building don't make up for the fact that this is one of the worst letting agencies I have had this misfortune of experiencing. Make no mistake, these guys are scum! Having lived in a Deu Estates property for one year I can safely say that they will try and cut every corner possible, providing you let them get away with it.

The staff are useless, they have hung up on me multiple times. Want examples? (Everyone needs evidence, it makes for good science!) * We were broken into during summer. We rang the estate agents and told them the gate had been broken through, we also provided a POLICE REPORT stating that the security gate protecting the door had been broken through. Deu Estates refused to believe us and charged us 25 to replace the lock in the door. Note: Replace the lock, not even fit a new door! * Me:"My roof is leaking" Deu Estates: "Oh ok we'll get a contractor to come and look at that for you". Contractor comes, 'fixes' problem. 1 Month later, Me: "My roof is leaking again", Deu Estates: "Oh ok we'll get a contractor to come and look at that for you". Contractor comes, 'fixes' the problem. 1 Month later Me: "My roof is leaking again", Deu Estates: "No it isn't". Leaky roof for the rest of the year.

This is not to mention the countless phone calls I've had to make to them over the year, most of which have had little or no success in resolving problems, mostly thanks to the Neanderthal staff, particularly the men. I'm a normal guy, I have gone out of my way to write this review so that YOU don't have to go through what I did. Take my advice and steer clear of Deu Estates!

Student accommodation is a dodgy business in Leeds. With Leeds landlords on Watchdog (ITV) and scamming stories all over the newspaper you really do have to be careful! Deuestates have a large number of the student properties on the outskirts of Leeds, and in all honesty I have found them all very grotty. There is no faulting the friendliness of the staff.

They are all chirpy, helpful and often overly chatty. However rent is extremely over priced for the quality of their properties. Some prices are up to 120 per week for really crappy bedsits (that is competitive with London flat prices.and trust me. Leeds is no London) From stories I have heard deposits are always returned and they are very efficient with rent, bills and other administration.

Nevertheless there are much nicer properties in the area with other landlords. Trust me.the carpets, furnishings and general decor is mostly seventies and truly "mingin!'". But maybe that's just me being a big girl about it!
