The last couple of weeks have been painful. It has taken over 6 weeks to get our deposit back despite DPS policy of 10 days. I must have spent hours and hours trying to get through to someone over the phone, but from my experience, you'll call 20 times before anyone picks up and even then, you won't find a resolution. just excuses. We were told 'It's Christmas so there will be delays', ''your landlord didn't release the deposit straight away' and 'there is covid in the office'.
Despite asking multiple times to be called back, I was told it wasn't necessary and even had Beth tell me "I'm sure you're lovely, but I don't want to hear from you again". The company is struggling (just look online) and I can't say I'm surprised with the level of customer service we received. Kayleigh is the only exception in our experience and was very polite and helpful with us earlier in our tenancy, but unfortunately she has been away throughout our struggles. Bottom line, I cannot express how little I recommend this company and I would AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

DO NOT GO NEAR THIS AGENCY! We would give zero star rating if we could! This was the most stressful experience we've ever had with an estate agent. Amongst a long list of things, here are the worst. We had 10 months of disgusting drain smell resulting in drain water coming up through the floorboards in the conservatory/kitchen. We mentioned the smell when we first moved in to which they said it was simply because the house had been left empty. However, we later found out from the maintenance man that the smell had been there before and he had advised unblocking already before we moved in.
It took us 10 months of emails and phone calls to get something done. Finally after 10 months when the drain water came up through the floorboards in the conservatory / kitchen, did someone come over to do a temporary repair. This involved a man unblocking the drain and leaving an open hole of disgusting mess for one week. Only after I rang Butlers 4 days before our wedding, almost in tears because we were having family staying in that disgusting smelly house, did someone come and cover the drain.
We were accused of having broken the bath tub which apparently was supposed to be new and they tried to take the cost out of our deposit (they never did actually fix the bath tub, which was also our shower). We had to get an independent plumber in who discovered that the bath had been moulded a year and a half before it was put in and that the installation was done very badly resulting in the bath breaking.
We won the dispute through the Deposit protection scheme! However, this was an extremely stressful experience and resulted in us being given a section 21 notice. The whole time we lived in the property we paid rent on time, we kept it extremely tidy and clean and well loved. Being told to leave was obviously even more upsetting and exhausting. The property was disgusting when we moved in, we should have guessed!
But we cleaned it up and made it our home. When we left, we left it sparkling clean and they still tried to charge us due to a 'cobweb' and many other items on the inventory that were there when we arrived. They were looking at the incorrect inventory! It was a total shambles and extremely unprofessional. Luckily we got our whole deposit back but only because of the deposit protection scheme. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS DISGRACEFUL SHAMBLES OF AN AGENCY!

This company just want to collect your money, but when it comes to actually do something for the tenant, such as inform them that the cockstop is broken, before the person moves in, or to sort out pest infestation, or anything in general that should be their job, they are useless. My landlord told them to send my deposit back to me 5 days ago, still nothing. I'm waiting for my deposit for 22 days now. Don't use this company. Disgraceful!

Out of all the property estate agents I dealt with recently I can honestly say that Rozz is HEAD AND SHOULDERS above everyone. She pays extreme attention to detail, answered all my questions promptly and had me in my new GORGEOUS place within a week. Racist! My husband and me (both not english) were looking for a flat in Bristol. They offered us a flat and we payed the fee. After that they came up with more and more conditions like 6 months rent in advance, we acapted it. I went to germany, pregnant that time, to get the papers they were asking for (that time they said we can have the flat for sure when we pay enough money and get the papers - as they noticed we can manage this hight condition) they called me in germany to cancel everything.
I would not have travelled to Germany without their promise to get the flat, specially not pregnant. For us it seemed like the made more and more conditions and hoped we can't comply with it so they don't have to pay back the fee. Really not professional!
