Absolutely loved my flat and the 6 other girls I lived with! The Sunrisestar staff are so friendly and any problems were sorted asap. Location wise you are just next to Sheff Uni and all the bars of West Street.

DO NOT LIVE HERE. This place may look nice however everything is cheap and brakes continuously from the dishwasher to the heating. You will also be charged a obscene amount of money at the end of your tenancy due to overspending of electricity and damage to that flat which was already there. We lived in our flat for just 6 months of the year due to the pandemic yet they are trying to charge us an extra 1,300 for overspending which we were also not warned about.

Poor management. Staff are very rude when you need their help with something and never bother to leave the onsite office. Try to blame tenants for every single bit of damage despite these faults been made aware to the landlord upon the tenancy starting. We encountered various electrical faults which resulted in a fuse constantly tripping and the landlord was never really bothered by the continuous reports made despite it being the legal responsibility to provide safe electricity. Don't be fooled by the nice pictures, this place should be avoided it isn't worth being scammed.

My son and his flat mates were told they had used more electricity and water than what was stated in their 12 month cap even though most of the tenants were only living there for 6 months (October - March) due to coronavirus lockdown and they went back home. It does not make sense that is has happened and the landlord was very reluctant to provide answers as to why this has happened but surely it is common sense that 6 students would not exceed a 12 month cap in half the time.

The tenants constantly reported an electrical problem leading to a fuse consistently tripping and this fault was never looked into properly even though the landlord is fully responsible for providing a safety source of electricity. The landlord also tried to charge them for damages which were already there when everyone moved in and were happy to reduce this bill but I still think it is unacceptable to try to charge 6 students who never caused any trouble and always paid rent on time for damages they were not responsible for. Surely, the previous tenants were charged for these damages and obviously Sunrisestar never used that money to fix the damages. Overall, this company is very poorly run, they try to take as much money from students as possible and I'm assuming that some of these 'good' reviews are fake. I would strongly advise all parents and students to look elsewhere when considering signing for a flat in this building.

1) Security is not one of their main concerns, there has been many issues that have occurred on site and their attitude towards this has not contained any urgency. 2) They promise you modern technology WiFi, since moving in we have discovered it turns off whenever the smallest bit of rain happens, as a uni student you can see how frustrating this would be when assignment submissions are regular. 3) They ignore emails and claim they've never been sent. 4) It's extremely apparent no maintenance check has been carried out before new tenants move into the flat.

I don't think it is coincidental that every essential appliance has failed (including dishwasher, dryer, cooker and electrics) within 6 months of living there. 5) And finally, the maintenance staff are rude and verbally abusive. When bringing up with the letting agents, the attitude in return was wrong.

Lived at Fairfield in my second year and Portland Tower for my final year. Both properties were amazing and Sunrisestar were fab!

The best and biggest student apartments in Sheffield, in the best location close to all the nightlife, shopping and both Sheffield Unis.

Sunrisestar have exceeded my expectations as a letting agency, they are approachable, honest, always contactable and nothing was ever too much trouble. As a parent, to a student, who lives many miles away Sunrisestar were always only a phone call or email away and would listen, action and just get any repair sorted with no hassle at all. Landlords / letting agents always get a bashing but I can honestly say they were fab and would have no hesitation to recommend to future students looking at renting from them.

Lived there for two years and had a very good experience. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They solve any issues promptly once you report them.

Great location! Close to my Uni (Uni of) so I can spend more time in bed ! Also close to loads of bars and food including a Dominoes pizza, Tesco and Bargain Beers! There are great views of the city and friendly staff

Love Portland Tower, best place to live compared to all of my friend's accommodation. Right on West St, so close to all the bars, best location for hosting pre drinks! And with huge living rooms too. Loads of shops, restaurants and vintage clothing stores on the same street too. Modern, spacious bedrooms. Short walk into town and to uni too, such a good location.

May have good location and fairly spacious flats but after an incident I do not feel safe leaving my car in their site! Several cars have been broken into in one of their private car parking sites. Police were informed however, sunrisestar don't seem to be dealing with the situation professionally. Rang them on the day asking for them to look at cctv as valuables have been taken and police stated they needed evidence. Spoke to a lady over the phone who was very rude, she stated that they had viewings that day so it wasn't their priority and couldn't promise it would be done within the week and then abruptly ended the call.

Seem to prioritise future money rather than current paying tenanats! Disgusting. Since I have emailed about the incident and still no reply or update after 4 days. Unprofessional, rude and awful customer service

We looked all over for accommodation with this much space inside but could not find any. Most of the apartments for students are like halls, with cramped little apartments. We didnt want to feel like little kids, so its nice to be able to invite mates over to your private space. Everyone comments on the great open plan living room / kitchen. It's fab! Take our word!

99 per week for accommodation plus non refundable 250 "reservation fee" plus 30 per term "service charge". These landlords seem to charge for EVERYTHING! Despite already being expensive, the 250 reservation fee is completely ridiculous. As well as paying 30 per term which is supposed to be for maintenance e.g light bulbs and CCTV. However if you ring and ask to get a light bulb you get told to go buy one yourself and the CCTV does not even work as explained later!

Do not be fooled by the pictures of the accommodation, it may look nice, however after living here for 1 year everything started to fall apart such as the dishwasher breaking regularly, drawers and cupboards were forever coming off their hinges, mould was growing in all the showers due to the humidity being too high and the fan barely working, blinds in the rooms forever falling down, and the worst of all the washing machine breaking and then being charged for repairs despite it being wear and tear.

The location is awful and not safe, house got robbed just after Christmas and landlords did not seem interested and found out the CCTV which we pay for did not work and could not give any footage to the police. Steer clear of this unnecessarily expensive accommodation!

This company just grabs your money, does nothing to help you, and grabs more money on top of the maintenance fee they charge in with your rent when things go wrong. The buildings are very poorly maintained and look nothing like the pictures. It takes them months to sort out any problems and they will quite happily do nothing about your poor living conditions since they get your money either way.

Even though you pay a maintenance fee, small jobs they will say do yourself and larger jobs still charge you, more than the market price too! If you're a student looking for accommodation in Sheffield, AVOID this company at all costs, your wallet and your health with thank you!

Don't be fooled by the pictures it may look nice, but after living here for a year i suddenly realized how cheaply and badly made this place was. When i moved in it hadn't been cleaned. We had no hot water for 3 months, everything kept breaking like the cooker, door handles, drawers in rooms, blinds and smoke alarms, which they failed to sort straight away. It is in a good location but can get loud. I would not live here again.
