I'm so impressed with the level of service that Lisel has given us with finding tenants for our flat. She's so efficient, so incredibly helpful and has constantly gone out of her way to make things run smoothly and happen quickly for us. I can't recommend her highly enough, she's an absolute star! thank you so much!

Lisel at The Property Shop is an absolute super star. Just when we had given up hope on finding a home, Lisel took my details and promised to call me back if anything came up. And much to my surprise, did. We fell in love with our now home and the whole process was completely stress free with Lisel's help. Murray was also a great help with our referencing and the rest of the team were so friendly and accommodating when we came to collect our keys. Highly recommend The Property Shop and again can't thank them enough for their help.

Mike from the Property Shop was exception in ensuring that the sale was successfully completed. This included him going the extra mile to provide advice, contacts and ideas to keep the sale on track. He always responded quickly to both my and the buyers questions and thus ensured that all sides where happy with the eventual sale. Mike has represented the sale of two properties and both times I could not have asked for a better agent.

Everyone has different experiences when buying property. It can a very stressful time, I have been through it many times and with many agents in Brighton over the last 25yrs. My wife really took care of all of it, dealing with agents etc. Then my life was turned upside down when she died in September. Everything changed for me, I'm in a rented property with a high rent.
So this is where I went to see a flat with Property Shop (Brighton) I was met by (Sales Neg) Aniushya Munday. Who was on time, super professional and had all the relevant info. I told her my position, and I had a good feeling about the flat. Aniushya was amazing she didn't push me, and when I made an offer, this is when I first spoke to Michael. He was amazing too!
He got me the flat at a great price, he was always letting me know where we were etc. Anytime I called Aniushya & Michael always sorted whatever I was asking. I went back to the flat a couple of times, it was never a problem! This time in my life has been emotional, every time I met with Aniushya she was really amazing and put me at ease with everything.
For me. Aniushya & Michael @ Property Shop. Have been professional, got things done! And have made what can be such a stressful time Into a really positive experience. Thank you Michael & Aniushya TL REECE

I have known many of the team at TPSB for a good decade or so as they very competently look after an HMO owned by a charity I represent. As a result it was a 'natural' for me to entrust the sale of my own flat to the team in St James's Street, meeting Michael and Aniyusha for the first time. I assumed they would be competent, and indeed they are, but I was much more impressed by their genuine friendliness and wish to get the best result for me. They obviously enjoy their work, and that spills over into their real interest in their 'clients'. Thanks - can't be much longer now!

It's a shame to write this as the ladies I spoke to were extremely lovely and it looked like a good estate agents to rent through. However after myself and my partner really struggling to find a guarantor we finally found one, a home owner with a 3 bedroom mortgage free house and savings. I mentioned on the first call that we have a guarantor and that it was my partners grandmother, no other questions were asked and all seemed fine.
So I viewed a beautiful property today and after the viewing was asked if I have a guarantor which I mentioned my partners grandmother again only to be told that the guarantor must actually be someone still employed. So I wasted my time going to the viewing and was left feeling extremely upset and disheartened about it all after we'd been struggling so much already. If we'd have been informed about this during the first call it could have saved lots of disappointment and time.

Keeps getting consistently worse over a 5 and a half year period of dealing with TBSP. They tell and charge the landlord for a new boiler they never had put in (luckily we had a good relationship with the landlord), they take months to sort out any issues with property after being told about them multiple times (again having to contact the landlord to resolve because they refuse to do anything about it) and when you try to get away from all their rubbish they try to sting you for your security deposit that the landlord has told them to give back to us in full claiming that some of it belongs to them due to some tenancy renewal charges 4 years prior that I still have receipts for as proof of payment.
Bit of a joke really. I'm still waiting on the full deposit back. and they wonder why letting agencies have a bad rep. The sooner I can get my money back and have nothing more to do with this company the happier I'll be.

Having dealt with this company for 5 years all I can really say about them is avoid at all costs. Had numerous problems with them ranging from them not correcting any issues with the property to them refusing to return the security deposit even though the landlord told them 2 months before the end of tenancy to return it in full. Every time I phoned or went into the office no one was available who actually dealt with current tenants as they only seemed to care about getting new ones.
One of the worst estate agents I have ever dealt with. In reply to the comments below. We had and continue to have a wonderful relationship with the Landlord. As to repairs we were told to report them to TPSB which we did and after receiving little or no response from them spoke directly to the landlord who then rectified the issues. As to the deposit we have finally received the full amount back 23 days after returning the keys and the only paperwork we have regarding this is the receipt's we had to send to you proving we had paid fees 4 years ago that you tried to deduct from the deposit after saying we had not paid them.

I was a tenant in a property, "managed" by this charming lot, back in 2017. They did little to keep the property in good shape, ignoring repeated requests to fix damp and mold in the bathroom, and on the rare occasions they did get anything done, it was worse than shoddy work. When it came to leaving, not only did they not return my deposit, they actually sent me a bill for a load of trumped-up charges (I left the place clean and in good condition). They epitomise the greedy, aggressive and poisonous side of Brighton letting agents. I'm sure they aren't the worst, but you'd best go somewhere else

Warning to the people that have searched for
"the property shop" because they are considering renting one of their advertised properties! Unless you have got money for a solicitor do not use these money grabbing, greedy unprofessional people! We have looked through many reviews of the Property Shop and 99 percent of those reviews say that they will try to take every single penny of your deposit!!
We paid over £ 2000 deposit! It took them several months to even send us a letter about how much they wanted to take from us! First they only suggested giving back less than half of the deposit. When I called I had an absolute rude, patronising and cold man who told me to write an E-mail. It then took them more than a couple of days for the owner to even reply.
His reply was not only rude but also very informal with many spelling and grammatical errors. The reason why we did not take them to court is because we do not have money anyways and now that they took away a whole £1000 we are even worse off. If they are THIS mean when you are renting with them how are they going to be when you take them to court.
ONCE AGAIN AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!

This company should not be trusted. You may think that the property shop are checking the credentials of the tenants they put in your properties, but is anyone checking the credentials of the property shop? The answer is NO. This company do not do what they promise their landlords. The company charge more management fee than nearly all other management companies in Brighton, but do far less than what they promise. Example.
Our property had a plumbing issue which we knew about and had plans to fix. The property shop decided off their own back to fix the problem and without sending any quotes to me, slapped me with a two thousand pound bill for repairs. This is a disgusting service. Be well warned. The property shop do not live up to their promise, so my advise is shop around.

We let our house through the Property Shop and it was returned to us needing over 5000 worth of repairs. It was completely trashed despite their supposed 6 monthly viewings to ensure it was being looked after. I then had to fight them for the deposit. They also failed to put the rent money into our account on a number of occasions and we had to chase them for it, all this when we're paying them over 120 pm to look after our property. LANDLORDS - AVOID AVOID AVOID. Complete cowboys.

I am presently in a Property Shop rented flat - the price is okay but I've not found the service from them too great (to say the least.). I'll update you on that when I've moved out though! Price wise, they claim to be Brighton's cheapest letting agency, but they do charge 70 each six months to renew the contract.

Well well well.what to say about Property Shop? Well they're not too bad I suppose, perhaps if I had written this whilst I was still in one of their houses I might be more harsh, but with the luxury of hindsight I can see that they weren't too bad. I'll start by saying what's good about them. -They found us a house on the Lewes road when seemingly most thing's had gone and we paid a mere 70 a week each for it. - Easy to get hold of, and prompt at responding to questions, and problems -They've got a good selection of student properties, and they are more personable than somewhere like G4 lets. -They were incredibly good natured, in waiting for me to sort myself out and get my deposit back, which I was quite surprised by. BUT.on the other side; -There promptness to respond to your queries didn't always turn into promptness for action, so you have to hound them to get them into gear - Sometimes they weren't the most empathetic with problems that you'd had, such as the time the main lock to the house broke.
The Odd-job man who they employ was rude and unfriendly and they were reluctant to even believe that there was a problem in the first place, and send anyone out. I can't give them four stars because I wouldn't say they deserved it, and the state of the house we were in when we got there had a lot to be admired. A solid 3 stars though for these guys.
