L D Property Management I started using LD Property Management after using a number of letting agents that offered poor service and provided unsuitable tenants, which culminated in taking court action against both parties. Thankfully, things have been plain sailing since using LD. I have found them to be helpful in terms of finding suitable tenants and managing our properties. They charge reasonable rates and in my view are worth every penny! I have been a tenant with LD for over eight years and rented several properties from them.

Rented property managed by LD, the team were always happy, approachable and helped with anything I needed them to. I have used a few agents before and LD Property is the only one I would happily recommend to anyone else.

I feel well looked after as a landlord and although a new customer, so far I feel their service has been thorough, responsive and considerate. Would recommend.

I write this review as a tenant of a flat below a property that LD Property manage. We live in a Maisonette. The issue of a defective floor was reported to Cliff Newcombe of LD Property on the 5th June 2020. Their floor (my ceiling) started making loud cracking noises to the extent it would wake 2 or 3 times a night. Between 11th June and August 2x workmen attended the property and confirmed there was an issue with the floating floor.

Due to tenants being present the floor carpet was unable to be lifted due to their furniture. During September the tenants informed me that they were leaving the property and I contacted LD Property to confirm that the work would be carried out once they had vacated. I spoke on the phone to the director John Noonan who confirmed that it was on the list of jobs to do once the property was vacant and not to worry.

Property was vacated 31st August until 11th September and no work was carried out. 14th September I spoke to Cliff who couldn't answer the question as to why nobody had attended whilst it was vacant, he also informed me that a new tenant had moved in. I confirmed the noise is still present and that it needs to be rectified regardless. I was informed by Cliff that a maintenance worker had attended the property but was not qualified to carry out the work.

Instead another contractor would have a look but he was not available until November. I said this was not an acceptable time frame as this had been going on since June. Cliff said that he would be contacting other contractors but does not want to use anybody from Checkatrade. 7th October i spoke to my landlord who has over 40 years experience in the construction industry.

He provided a contact to discuss with LD Property about visiting the property and carrying out an inspection. If not then to use ratedpeople to source a contractor quicker. I spoke to my landlord who confirmed that his contact had spoken to Cliff on the 7th October. Cliff was then to arrange with the tenant a suitable day and time for a visit. 12th October spoke with Cliff to ask if he had spoken to the tenant about the arrangement and the answer was not yet. Cliff stated he had been away/busy the rest of that week. Cliff informed me he would be away next week and I indicated that I'd like contact to be made with the tenant today. Cliff said yes but then went on to say "not keep chasing up, that he manages lots of other properties and that they listen to the owners of other properties". Firstly, I am absolutely astounded at being spoken to in that way.

I have been more than patient since this issue was reported. It's due to the lack of organization, communication and competency of LD Property as to why I have had to chase and the issue is still not resolved after 5 months. Secondly, after this call I rang to speak to John Noonan to make a complaint. Cliff answered the phone and informed me that he was out.

I said I'd like to leave a message for John to contact me back and Cliff said "he won't be". That is disgraceful. My wellbeing and my sleep has been severely affected during all of this and your website stating about "the highest levels of customer service" has completely fallen flat. As the director of the company I trust that John will be making contact with me and my landlord to deal with this.

I'm not sure that it really matters if I am a tenant or the owner, your email clearly stated this issue was down to condensation after one of your guy's came and tried to look through a vent with his mobile phone light. As I explained the wall is only wet after wet weather, even during the summer months. And as I said if this is down to condensation both outer corners of the the flat would be suffering the same issue.

Critical: Quality Rang up to enquire about a property and treated badly on phone by Tom! Very rude and vitriolic

TENANTS BEWARE! I am a tenant renting a property through LD Property Management in Salisbury. Their appalling customer service and shocking rudeness has made me no longer wish to live in this house even though I love it. They are totally incompetent and appear to have very little knowledge of tenancy law, although I sometimes wonder if they do know and are just assuming the tenants are ignorant of their rights.

I have rented from them for 8 months now and every 6 weeks or so I have to contact them about something which starts as a relatively minor issue which then becomes a circular argument and results in me having to contact CAB or Shelter for advice due to the agency trying to break the law. They have turned what should be a quiet and peaceful existence at my rented home into a stressful nightmare. Use at your peril.

After handing over our savings to pay the deposit, fees and rent up front the agent dealing with us joked "haha it doesn't feel like real money to us anymore"! They seem to have a very cloudy knowledge of tenancy law. They insist upon regular inspections (so far I have been in my property 6 months and have already had 3, the first one was 2 weeks after we moved in and some sarky comments were made about our lack of furniture).

As this is common practice it isn't too much of an issue but they do refuse to arrange a time that suits you and will not rearrange if the date is unsuitable. After challenging them on this once when I was unable to attend and did not wish to have someone in my house without being present the response was "you are lucky we give you notice". Any issue seems to be dealt with in an amateur way and sometimes I'm not sure if they are stupid or just seeing how much they can get away with, or both.
