Had a few issues with a previous letting experience that meant insurance was something I was dreading contacting. However spoke to a lovely customer service worker called Emily Lay (sorry if that's spelt wrong!), who was super helpful, efficient and kind. Made my situation a lot less stressful and can't thank enough :). Will definitely use/recommend this company to others in the future.

I've used HomeLet for landlord's insurance for three years now. Whilst not offering the cheapest policy on the market, I consider the money well-spent. They have always been prompt to respond to any queries and the transition through the different policies I've needed for my property have been handled very efficiently - in particular by Matthew today. The agents I've dealt with have been knowledgeable and helpful throughout. I would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone who needs this kind of insurance.

Asked for help for joining Sky's Broadband, the process was great and simple. Several days later I have contacted them and asked for their help for leaving Sky (due to their disappointing customer support). To be honest I did not think I will get too much help, but I couldn't be more wrong. I have talked with a super nice person named Marcus, he absolutely did more than any other agent I have ever talked with.

He contacted Sky representative for me, contacted me back with several options and did that back and forth several times, he had even contacted me several days later to make sure everything worked out and asked he if could do anything else to help. To sum up, a great experience with HomeLet, and with Marcus, great customer support all around.

Had set renter's insurance service up with HomeLet after recently moving to the UK from the US. It was easy to do and we had no trouble at all. The representative we spoke with to set up service was friendly and, though her run through of how things work was rather quick, she did send emails explaining everything in an easy to read version. The only problem was that we didn't realize we already had rental coverage with our bank in the US.

Upon discovering this, I called to cancel our services since our bank was a cheap and more convenient option. The representative I spoke with did offer to discuss price matching, but I explained the convenience of having everything in one place. She understood and was able to cancel our service for us. There was no difficulty in doing so, and they maintained a polite and cheery disposition throughout the conversation. Had we not been double covered, we would have happily continued our service with HomeLet. Our experience over the 3 months of service had no trouble at all and I would, in face, recommend their services to others.

Dealt with Ady Lowe, who called me back when I asked due to no reception at my work place, answered any questions I had and had a very calming and reassuring voice. Would deal with him again. He sorted my insurance out for me and had clear communication. Great customer service Thank you Jade :

I researched several insurance providers who offered 'tenants insurance' but most only provided cover for contents, not tenants liability. HomeLet was one of the very few who clearly stated the cover for both aspects and offered a comprehensive solution. A follow up courtesy call from HomeLet agent Courtney Thomson cleared up a few questions I had and a discounted price sealed the deal. Courtney explained the key aspects very clearly and took time to make sure I understood them and was happy that the insurance met my needs.

I normally steer clear of arranging such services over the phone, preferring to work though them in my own time using an online app, but Courtney's professional but friendly manner made it a very easy, pleasant experience. Top marks.

I got good professional and friendly service from Michael Brennan today regarding my insurance. From the start of the call he was friendly- there was confusion with my name - but mistakes happen and he made me feel at ease with his good humour and cordiality. Everything regarding my insurance was well explained and he took me through the policy and features clearly and professionally. Hopefully this kind of service will continue with the Homelet team. Would I use Bannisters? Only if the other option was a soggy cardboard box in an alleyway. Their professionalism is shown in the shabby, dated decor and location of their 'office' which is only acessible via some questionable concrete stairs of which must be used by some homeless people at night for shelter - with most of them probably being ex-customers of Bannisters!

They are not registered with ARLA which is always a no-no. If a letting agent isn't prepared to get their staff a reputable qualification then that shows how much they care about their clients and customers. They are also all related to one another in some shape or form which makes it increasingly difficult to point out inconsistencies you find as they all assume their staff are right and you are wrong.

They don't provide you with a correct tenancy agreement, carry out an EPC in time or a check-in or out correctly which will leave you as the tenant wide open for attack - and attack they will! At the end of my tenancy, I was charged for professional carpet cleaning when this had not been carried out before moving in day, I was also charged for cleaning of 2 kitchen appliances which were on the inventory as being soiled and were in fact given back to them cleaner than they were when we had them!

This then means more annoyance and stress to the tenant as you will then have to raise a dispute to try and get some money back that they have so rudely taken without your consent, thus having Bannisters lurking in the background like a bad smell when you would just be glad to see the back of them. One thing I will say is that as a Landlord, you will receive first-class treatment; you do not have to clean or tidy your property prior to being let by Bannisters as they will just get the tenants to foot the bill at the end of the tenancy so you are able to have a nice clean property ready to rent to the next person! Bargain if you ask me.

So beware, only use if you have expendable cash to use on cleaning the property to a higher standard than how it was presented to you, and to be classed as something far under what Bannisters would describe themselves. The only people that win at the end of all of this is Bannisters, Landlords gain a bad reputation because of the property and how much is taken off for cleaning, and poor Tenants get into greater debt for shelling out unnecessary monies for cleaning that you were not able to enjoy in your tenancy.

There are a lot of Letting Agents in Bicester, if you find for some reason that Bannisters is the only one left to use, then the advice would be to perhaps change location and look elsewhere!
