GuildHall Residental Lettings

From September to February, water leaked from the ceiling in the bathroom twice, each time over a week without a break. Finally, the ceiling has fallen to the floor, there is no light in the whole apartment and the bathroom is unusable. I called the Guildhall many times, wrote emails, sent pictures, nobody came to help us, advise us etc. It has all been going on for over 2 months. 5 days ago, a gas worker forbade the use of a boiler, no heating or hot water, Guildhall believes that it is still a high standard apartment!

Have used Guildhall for the last 4 years as a tenant with no issues. Always a thorough and professional service. Quick to respond to queries in a clear, professional and friendly manner. Can't recommend them enough if your looking to rent a property. Rob

We have been letting with Guildhall Lettings in the same house for nearly 12 years. In that time we have needed most things sorting out. Roof, boiler, external doors, electrical work and flooring. Sheds and more. Every time we ring up to ask for something to be fixed they have been very professional and have managed to get it sorted as fast as possible.

I can not fault the teams dedication and attitude towards the tennents over the last decade. 2 staff we deal with the most have been there since we started letting. That just shows the level of dedication and loyalty there is there. Can highly recommend Guildhall Lettings.

I've been with this company for years and have always found the staff to be helpful, polite and efficient. I have and still would recommended them.

I had to find a rental property in less than a two week time frame. They found me a very suitable house and i was able to move in less than two weeks. The staff were friendly and very knowledgeable about the properties they have on their portfolio. They are always on the end of a phone call or email with any of my questions.

Disgusted with the way I was treated. Would never try use them again. We applied for a property, I was willing to put 6 months rent upfront. Sent in application form. Then got told we needed a Guarantor being unemployed, my father said he would, but doesn't own his own house, Guildhall said they would over look it. We sent that paperwork back, then get told father has has to fill tenancy agreement aswell, so sent that back.

After nearly 2 weeks and all that, got told someone else has put in an application. I phoned up numerous times to find out what was going on, and got told "Because we didn't fit their criteria, being unemployed and had pets, the other application has got the property."

I contacted Guildhall Lettings after a horrible experience with my previous landlord that left me feeling very unsafe at my old flat. I explained to them why my safety was now compromised and that I needed to move into a new flat ASAP. Guildhall Lettings processed all the paperwork for the new flat very quickly in order to help get me safe. All the staff were all so empathetic and compassionate to my situation and ensured me that I would feel safe at the new flat they are leasing to me.

They ensured that the alarm system and video security intercom in the flat was working to ensure I would feel safe in my new flat. They were all so friendly and always made sure to make me laugh as they understood that I was very stressed because of my previous landlord. The new flat is amazing and they have given me a complete written guide as to how to maintain the property to a good standard.

Their leasing contract is very professional in order to protect both the landlord and the tenant. Additionally, their pricing for the flat is more than fair and is in a very good condition. I would definitely recommend that if you are looking to buy or rent, Guildhall Lettings should be your go to people! I really cannot fault them at all as they helped turn such a horrible situation into a really positive new safe beginning for me. It really is true when they say "Not all heroes wear capes". Thank you so much to Guildhall Lettings for everything, I would recommend them over and over again!

I have been a tenant for the pat 2-3 years and it has been such a positive experience. They are quick to deal with any issues and so friendly and accommodating. Especially enjoyed meeting Kate she has been lovely and I am sad to be moving on as she always takes the time to get to know you and build a relationship absolutely lovely woman and massive asset to the company customer service is amazing. I have rented from Guildhall for nearly 3 years and they are the best letting agents I've had. Friendly and reliable ladies in the office and always help as much as they can. When leaving my property they did a pre-check out so I would get my full deposit back (they are very understanding on the standards of how a property is left after it's been lived in). Very professional and the best letting agents in Preston.

The mission statement for this company (whatever they chose to call themselves depending on what time of day it is - Guildhall Lettings, Guildhall Residential Lettings but NOT their legal name of Letting Locations Ltd) appears to be "to do as little as we can get away with". Unfortunately, they do a lot less than this. Their administrative procedures are worse than useless.

They seem oblivious to any legalities governing their profession and disgracefully seem to get away with this. Landlords and tenants alike - avoid this company like the Plague.

Poor service is the name of the game at Guildhall Lettings. If your renting through them and want a swift and efficient solution to your problems think again. Any problems won & apost be resolved and you will be left with a truly awful experience. Steer well clear.
