5 stars are very less for Mr. Robert King. I would advice anyone wanting to buy a house or rent a house to go to Northwood Romford for a delightful experience. Robert is very cooperative, patient and always answers your call which no estate agent does nowadays. Even post the sale the follow up was really impressive. Total rubbish agency if you are a tenant they always mess you around on repairs. They never get back to you when they say they will they feed you a load of old nonsense. I have had 2 so called supervisors say to me over the past few months about a fence repair. "Well if you don't like it then you know what you can do" I have even been accused of damaging the fence myself.
I have been a model tenant with them for over 10 years now and it is the same old story with them everyone something needs doing. I would give them minus stars if possible. Now having finally getting ot into a new place the thieves are refusing to pay my 1 months extra rent back that I paid at the begining. I paid 2 months rent upfront

We originally opted for an e-contract but we were not clear how the process would work. Particularly we were concerned about the fact that e-payment of rents and contract completion do not happen at the same time, creating huge uncertainty to us. I realised the problem and went to the branch. It was a Saturday and they were about to close. However, once they understood my concern, Sharon and Brian quickly suggested a workable solution. Sharon, in particular, co-ordinated different parties to get the contract completed in a pragmatic, efficient, flexible and professional way.
She went the extra mile and made sure the matter was sorted, even if it meant working overtime. Thanks Sharon and the Romford office for their efficiency and professionalism. I hope the experience after move-in will be as great too.

I would have been satisfied with your service if I was not given a hope then after the viewing. I viewed the property last Thursday as the first applicant and gave the application after the viewing. Then I waited for one week for your response. In between someone rang me up from the agency and told that everything was fine with my application but the landlord just want to let others also yo view the property as they had booked viewing already. Did not get any more response from your side, so I did ring up twice to the agency and was told that my application is still valid.
As I did not get any updates even after a week, I rang up today morning and got the information that my application was unsuccessful. By doing this, your staff wasted my time and gave me false assurance, also did not even bother to let me know about the outcome of the application and the reason for rejection. Hence I feel my experience with the agency was not that good.

The property I moved into not only was it dirty, there were chunks of god knows what caked on the floor I had to literally scrape it all off then clean it. The fireplace had tea or coffee stains all over it, the carpets were not clean so I had to clean them myself. The fridge was disgusting it was tinged with the smell of curry so that all had to be cleaned before use.
When my fridge freezer stopped working they told me to get the fridge freezer from the cellar and use that. It was covered in mould all in the ceils and I had to buy sugar soap to scrub it after asking for help to get a fridge freezer up from the cellar which they didn't supply. I've had damp and mould in my home for years which they did absolutely nothing about only send me a patronising leaflet about condensation and tell me to ventilate the property. The mould and damp ruined my furniture, clothes and shoes and they took no responsibility just told me to claim it on my insurance which means it will cost me more money

After collecting the keys to what we thought would be our home, we was disgusted to find the property so dirty. After paying such a large deposit to have a pet in the property and signing to agree to fumigate when we moved out, the property was covered in dog hair! Dog hair was stuck to the walls and dog mess present in the garden. The windows were filthy or was it the previous tenants dogs nose art and we should have appricated the extra little treat!?
The kitchen was full of grease and was scrapped off in chunks, making a truckers greasy spoon like a 5 star restaurant. I was told by Tina the manager to just detail it on the inventory and my comments would be noted! I was told that when we moved out these items would be taken in to consideration and the property was let as seen. So basically live with it. So people when you view a property with Northwood make sure you look at how the other person lives and what little extras You may receive rent free!

Tom and the team at Northwood were fantastic to deal with and I have no hesitation in recommending them. They were extremely professional, friendly, helpful and efficient. Right from the outset Tom's advice about marketing my house for sale was invaluable, they were really pro-active in marketing the property both online and in the local press and also showing people around while I was away on holiday.
My property was on the market within 24 hours of me signing up with Northwood, I'd accepted an offer within 3 weeks and the sale went through in 2 months. I could not have asked for a better service.

I have have been using the Northampton Branch of Northwood for many years now. They have always been excellent to deal with much better than my previous agent!. I have found the staff are professional and incredibly helpful. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to rent in Northamptonshire.

As a landlord, I have been with Northwood Preston for well over ten years since they set up in Preston in 2007. Throughout this time we have shared a harmonious and mutually supportive relationship. My first contact with Northwood was early in 2007 when I purchased two properties through the estate agency side of their business. Both transactions progressed smoothly to successful completion.
They subsequently managed these properties as letting agents. After a period of around two years I was so impressed with their efficiency and willingness to discuss any problems that I transferred most of my other letting properties to Northwood Preston from other agents, and I have been very happy to stay with them. My property portfolio includes a variety of houses and apartments, some of which are let on the Fully Managed contract and some on the Guaranteed Rent contract.
I have found both schemes work very well, and I have been particularly impressed that they have honoured the Guaranteed Rent on the few occasions when I have had empty property between tenants. In my experience, a good relationship between landlord and letting agents depends on BOTH parties behaving well and responsibly. Over the years, I have talked to a number of landlords who refuse or delay spending money on the upkeep of their properties and then blame either their tenants or the letting agent when the property deteriorates.
I firmly believe that if a landlord keeps the property in good repair and treats the tenants well, most tenants will respond by looking after the property well. We landlords easily forget that the agent has a duty of care to both tenants and landlords, and prompt repairs and renovations obviate the need for constant reminders, thus removing a major source of friction between agent and landlord.
