I am a young professional female who unfortunatley chose to rent a property from Harissons.This turned out to be one of the worst mistakes of my life so far !! The whole experience has been a nightmare from start to finish. After spending a very cold 3 weeks in a flat with no heating or hot water (the worse weather conditions on record apparently ! ), and having to listen to the most foul language I've ever heard when asking for the boiler to be fixed,im now told that I will not be getting my deposit back as the flat was dirty.I can assure you that it was left 100% cleaner than it was when I moved in !
I actually paid a professional cleaning company to come in the day I was moving out, they left the place spotless. I had a feeling that this was coming as the" nice" lady that I saw in Harrisons office when I handed over my deposit turned out to be a very different person indeed when I asked for repairs to be done. As a person that deals with the public in my working life I am both shocked and discussed at her behaviour and bad language.
I now have the pleasure of building a case against this company so that I can take them to small claims, fortunately I have found a couple of other people that have had similar problems with them who are willing to send written statments to my solicitor. These things must not be allowed to go on. Anyone can contact me on 01493 750257 if they have had problems with Harrisons.

My partner and I are young professionals who pride ourselves on kepting our flat/houses immaculate. We also take great care of other peoples and our own possessions. We are reasonable people who find it easy to get along with most people. It was therefore a shock when after several pleasant encounters with harrisons letting and successfully renting one of the properties they marketed properties that after supplying our notice to say we would no longer like to rent the property (we gave more than 1 months notice) we also said that we didn't mind them showing people round anytime as long as we were given notice.
It then became a suprise then we were asked to show a number of people round and spend a day waiting in to show people around. We were more than happy to show a few people around with back to back appointments but not a whole day. As with most people we work full-time and value our weekends. A further comment to make is that when we moved in some of the appliances were not clean and also the property was not quiet upto scratch with our cleanliness standards.
However we were informed whilst away from the property that there were 8 problems with the property. Considering we had cleaned the property from top to bottom and it was immaculate in comparison to when we moved in we were suprised. We were then informed we would not get our deposit back unless we re-cleaned the property! We then had some less pleasant communications with one of the ladies who worked there who does not appear to have very good customer service skills.
