We are a family business looking after five holiday cottages in Lyme Regis and Charmouth for the past 14 years with three in Lyme Regis and two in Charmouth. Both locations are ideal for a seaside staycation on the Jurassic Coast with great beaches, walks, food and fossil hunting. If you like to bring your pet to a holiday cottage, we have two dog friendly properties, Lavender Cottage and Teal House.
Described as 'The Pearl of Dorset', it is well known for fossils which can be found on the beaches and in the cliffs on either side of the town. The harbour wall known as 'The Cobb', protects the picturesque harbour, which still has fishing boats operating for both pleasure and commercial outings. As a coastal resort, Lyme Regis has lots of seaside activities such as fishing trips, sailing and paddle boarding. There is a large sandy beach with a safe swimming zone and stony beaches either side ideal for dog walking and fossil hunting.

We stayed at lavender cottage for a family celebration and had a wonderful time. The cottage was lovely, well presented and clean. We met up with our family in next door teal cottage, again A lovely place and great garden for the grandchildren to play. Everything was close to hand and lived up to our expectations. A nice touch to have milk and tea. Would definitely look to boo' again in the future. Lynn and Barry

My family and I absolutely enjoyed staying at the Westgate house. It's immaculately clean, cozy, warm, very homely, and has beautiful views. Some of the previous reviews mentioned noise from the major road near by the property. However, during the night it's extremely quiet and there's no noise whatsoever, but during the day you could hear far in the distance car whizz by, but that does not affect tranquility of the house and it's location. However, there was one thing that we weren't keen on is the pig farm near by.
The smell is strong and not really pleasant outside the house, but we managed to ignore the smell and just run inside the house and enjoy the rest We are looking forward to staying at the Westgate house again sometime soon!

Lovely house in a fabulous position right in the heart of Lyme, with a short walk for all that the town has to offer. Very comfortable bedrooms and a well stocked kitchen. Bit confusing as to where to put the rubbish at the end of our stay, but Mark contacted me to advise quickly and efficiently. Great holiday let, thank you.

Just spent a weekend at 30 Coombe Street, Lyme Regis. The four of us were pleasantly surprised to find a very well presented little terraced cottage in the centre of this pretty seaside town. Everything worked ok and the furnishings were all comfortable. A lot of thought has been put in by the owner and we were able to use all the kitchen appliances with ease and found an abundance of utensils and crockery enabling us to cook as though it was our own kitchen! We would use this place again without hesitation and probably will before too long. Lyme Regis is a great destination for a break and there are many places nearby to visit.

We can't recommend Lavender Cottage (30 Coombe Street) enough. The owners were incredibly accommodating to our special requests and obviously have a great eye for detail and a tremendous amount of care to the way they look after and market the cottage. The location is second to none, as a couple we stayed in September 2011 and the nearby restaurants and nearby bakery / cheese shop / cafes were really top notch selling locally made produce.
We were blessed with nice weather so we were quite outdoorsy and so close to the sea (2-3 mins) meant we were in the right place for starting lots of walks and admiring the harbour/cobb whilst eating fresh crab sandwiches was a highlight! The cottage itself was beautifully clean and tidy, cosy, quiet and the main bedroom had a very comfy bed - excellent and hope to go again someday.
