Having viewed a property with this agency I decided to make an application for a property in Edinburgh- I was told that if I pay a J200 holding deposit the property would be removed from the market- but over one week later the property was still being advertised and before tackling the situation with them I asked a colleague to call and ask for a viewing- He was told the property was still to let and when would he like to view- he of course did not make a viewing appointment but rushed back to me with his findings.
I decided that they were not the kind of landlord I would like to trust my tenancy with and having since been at the receiving end of their wrath and abusive and threatening behavior I am glad I did steer clear- I have started proceedings for the return of the money they took from me under false pretenses and will pursue them to the limit of the law in order to protect others from the experience I had. Why are these types still infecting the property letting market with their sleaze and criminality? Is there no protection for the innocent and unsuspecting public?
