Taff Penfro Cardiff Apartment Travelled to Cardiff for a works meeting and the apartment is situated a 5 min walk from Cardiff Central train station. Was amazed how spacious and light the apartment was when we entered from a rather dark hallway. 2 double bedrooms & a twin room plus a pullout sofa bed. Very well equipped kitchen with all the utensils & crockery you would need though as it was only a 2 night stay we didn't use much of the kitchen.
A lovely touch was the welcome pack with a bottle of prosecco, chocolate, crisps & welsh cakes. Will definitely use again when I return to Cardiff especially as it was situated just opposite the Principality Stadium and a 10 minute walk to the Castle.

We had a lovely week away in Derbyshire with Original Cottages in August 2021, staying in Pipestrelle Barn. The photos do not do this cottage justice! Deceptively spacious, modern, comfortable and a thoughtful local welcome pack on arrival. We enjoyed a couple of meals at the local pub (walking distance), as well as day trips to Bakewell and Chatsworth House. Email communication was good in regards to payment reminders and directions and we even had a text message a couple of days before reminding us of access details. Have already recommended the cottage to others and look forward to another stay with Original Cottages.

Visited Middle Peak View, Bolehill (Derbyshire Country Cottages) last week (20-24 November). The company's website and booking process were easy to use and the pre-holiday communications by email and text were very helpful. Our cottage was in an excellent location for touring some key sites of the Peak District. The new 'Great British Car Journey' attraction is a must, an ideal day out for all ages and suitable for a rainy day! Even in November, the scenery and sites were well worth the trip.

Had an awful stay at the air bnb in Dartmouth. The inside not as photographed. The free on sight on parking was filled. The car had parked in a way that meant that the key safe was inaccessible. At this time tried to call both provided emergency numbers and received no answer. The flat had nothing left I'm in it. Not even a tea bag or hand soap. Overnight my guests clothes were dirtied when snails climbed over them. Tried contact numbers again and got no answer.
After the reservation was finished I contacted the company that owns the location via the air bnb. I outlined my complaints and requested a refund. I was told that this was impossible as I did not contact them during the stay. avoid this company. expensive, poor product, worse customer service

The cottage at Beadnell. Beautiful, well equipped cottage very close to the beach, 2 restaurants and the village shop. There was no house book at the cottage which would have been useful and no bags were left for dirty laundry, hence 4 stars. Huge garden and although its next to the road it was very quiet. Parking would be difficult if you had 2 large cars.

Worst holiday ever, left after two days as couldn't stand it. Been trying to negotiate refund, dreadful response from 'Resolutions' team, unwilling to escalate to senior official. Booked Belle View 'apartment' in Ilfracombe, cost 900 for a week so fair enough to expect something of quality - not a cracked handbasin, shower that leaked and flooded downstairs, anti social behaviour from neighbours it's actually a flat with people living all around, on a busy Main Street where the local alcohol dependent people congregate and to quote the owner "defecate" on the street. Advertised as having sea and harbour views, judge for yourselves from the photos attached. Will never use this company again and have advised everyone we know of the same. Sharing in the hope we might help others avoid a similar dreadful experience.

We booked the Rye Annex Bishopton, Swansea for the week of the 24th July for 729. having seen the photos on the website, we were so looking forward to a long awaited holiday what with the year we have all had and loosing both my parents within 6 weeks of each other. The owners were not there for the first 3days, this was not what was advertised, we have contacted the company who chose not to reply to some email, and state that they will no even give a good will gesture. Please be carefully when using this company.

The layout of the property is good for families. Future guests would be wise to check facilities for parking as this was not as stated and on-road parking is a problem in Salcombe. There were issues within the property concerning quality of equipment, some of which was very dirty and not fit for purpose. As requested by Blueriver Cottages a complaint was made on the first day of hire but to date these problems have not been addressed.

We stayed at the Royal standard house in shaldon Devon what a lovely house and was lovely and clean we had the pleasure of meeting steph who cleans it what a very helpful lady she is a credit to her profession the house is very well equipped and we could not fault it the only problem is parking for a big house it has only 1 private space so be aware if you ring like i did they told me there was 2 spaces on arrival i rang and was told that in the description there is only 1 we had 3 cars i had already booked a drive way in teignmoth for the week that was 35.00 not to bad.
If your crafty enough you can get away with parking in the 1hour parking after 500pm till about 900ish next morning but do watch out for the traffic warden although he is very friendly he will give you a ticket other alternative is to park up the road at the ness car park but wasn't keen on that as it isn't secure but all in all a great house and lovely area

Warning! Do not stay at Melbrake or risk booking your holiday with Blue River Cottages! You are likely to have your holiday cancelled without just reasoning. I had initially booked Melbrake for Easter 2020 and Covid happened so I was asked If I would mind moving the booking to Easter 2021 which I did in order to help the hospitality industry and have a family holiday to look forward to post covid.
I have now been told that the holiday that my family has been looking forward to for nearly 2 years is to be cancelled without just reasoning. I asked if I could move the holiday to August 2021 or Easter 2022 but I was told that this couldn't happen although they were very happy to move my initial booking forward a year! I am now told that I must now take a refund. However, I am told that it could take up to 30 days to receive my refund that they have had sat in their account for nearly 2 years!

Be very careful of this company. Booked a cottage for this year and due to the recent pandemic and health issues had to try and rearrange. Firstly we were told we could have an E voucher to redeem in 2021,l ater to be informed they did no such thing. When we phoned again we were told if we did not take the holiday this year (2020)we would loose our 210 deposit.
Again they said we were misinformed. We managed to re-book for 2021 but were not informed about the 100 price hike. They also tried to say our discount voucher would not be valid and if we had not complained so heavily this would have been the case. I have used many cottage companies over the years safe to say this is by far the worst one we have used.!

No issues at all with booking via Blueriver however, they asked for a review of the property after my stay and decided to only post the positive part. I asked them to either post my review in full or remove it and they decided to remove! Looking at the other reviews on their site they are all small and therefore I can only assume that they quote the positive remarks only and omit the feedback on what needs improving or is not up to scratch. Does not seem like a good practice to me. On a positive note, one small problem whilst we stayed at a cottage was rectified immediately.
