Manor Villages

WOULDN'T RECOMMENT STAYING HERE. I moved into manor villages in September 2021 and I'm still living here. I believe I am taking a huge risk with my deposit posting this review but I am extremely disappointed and my patience is at a limit. I have been complaining to the reception staff verbally about the issue with the quality of the WIFI in my room from when I moved in.

The WIFI speed made it impossible for me attend classes, interviews or even give exams online. The issue I noticed wasn't given much importance and I kept getting excuses of WIFI getting upgrades or about not knowing the dates of when the repair staff will fix it and so on. No effective action has to date been taken to repair this issue and the staff in one of the emails have the audacity to blame me for the WIFI not being repaired and to date the staff is not ready to take any responsibility for this issue.

I believe good WIFI was assured as part of the rent charged from students and people here do not care about the customers once they have gotten all the money. The behaviour of the staff in terms of important things is very disappointing. I had initially been very optimistic about my stay here but my experiences here has been very disappointing and wouldn't recommend this place to anybody.

DONT STAY HERE! The most disappointing place I have ever lived. Very rude staff and NO SERVICE! The staff here think they are your BOSS! The salary they get paid excludes their service! DONT LIVE HERE! From 129/week is not cheap and should be good service included!

No proper organisation, staff doesn't get paid what they should be. There are many student accommodations in Nottingham and I definitely and strongly advice to go elsewhere.

Never received the 100 GBP amazon coupon for rebooking. Email enquires are dismissed.

If you want to spend quiet night in nottingham, not a good place to choose. I always need to call the security. I have emailed the manor villages but have not recieved anything from them.

Avoid avoid avoid! Absolutely shocking service. Still chasing the deposit in December when keys were returned in July. Communication is repeatedly ignored and the very sparse responses given are false. So frustrating and supremely unhelpful.

Rooms are of good standard and the courtyard areas are nice. However the internet speeds are a joke. They also squeeze every last pound they can out of you, don't ever expect to get your deposit back. They charged members of my flat different levels of damage fees despite all of our rooms being completely fine.

Same as the previous reviewer, they will make it as hard as possible to receive your deposits back, refusing to answer emails about it and sending you in circles when they do. I handed in my keys over 3 months ago and I still have not received my money back. Decent rooms but these people are rats. Will except you pay on time but won't offer you the same courtesy. Would advise going to their competitors

VERY OVERPRICED! They take away your university experience by ensuring you have 0 guests in the flat or you face eviction. I couldn't even bring a friend of mine over to revise! The place is very smelly also and although I was not a witness to it, it is notorious for being pest infested. I strongly advise you go elsewhere.

ABSOLUTE SCAM! THEY ARE NOTORIOUS FOR STEALING DEPOSITS! My daughter was owed the full amount that she had paid in deposits but upon checking out, they remove all contact with you entirely and give you no support in retrieving the deposits. They claim it must be done via a third party but upon contacting this party, they stated that Manor Villages Ltd has failed to make even a single student deposit account meaning no deposits were returned! Absolute Joke! TO ALL PARENTS - DO NOT ALLOW YOUR CHILD TO STAY HERE, IT IS TORTURE!

Stayed with them for 4 months and I had to leave the contract! This place is honestly a tip, bins left in all the hallways, the rooms and kitchens always stink (even prior to arrival) and the staff are literally useless. If you go to reception and report something that needs to be fixed they practically don't care. When you walk in reception you will see the staff in a little social circle (away from their computers and work) where they sit in reception gossiping all day and even laughed when I informed them about the broken door (which they then fixed 34 days later when it was a two minute job). AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT STAY WITH MANOR VILLAGES! The worst student accommodation you could stay at. Staff constantly enter your flat without appropriate notification. Cleaners that are provided showed up twice in the space of a full academic year. You will be charged for ridiculous things in order to not receive your full refund. Countless issues with things being broken e.g. toilet which leaked throughout the year, radiator not being correctly assembled.

DO NOT STAY HERE! This was perhaps the worst year of my life in terms of living accommodations. Upon arriving, there were multiple damages in the kitchen, a terrible smell which stayed all year and even mice in the hallways. Upon departure we were then refused our deposit as they tried to charge us for the damages that were there prior to our entry.

The staff are equally as bad, they respond to requests very late, burst in without notice of entry (anytime from 6am to 2am) and are a complete failure when it comes to maintenance. We had a broken radiator and thus a freezing kitchen for 6/7 months we were there and they claimed that they couldn't fix the radiator due to "covid regulations" which is an utter load of lies. THE PLACE STINKS CONSTANTLY of cannabis and other smells.

The security do not even allow you to have guests. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER, DO NOT STAY WITH THEM, IT WILL RUIN YOUR UNIVERSITY EXPERIENCE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE LIVING IN CONDITIONS WORSE THAN THAT OF MY LOCAL PRISON

DO NOT LET POSITIVE COMMENTS MISLEAD YOU! On the first day or arrival students are groomed into leaving 5 star reviews on google in exchange for free alcohol and free website subscriptions. If you take a look at the reviews you will notice the countless 1 star reviews which are the reviews that are reflective of the truth. Im pretty sure that without the bribing, this accommodation would be rated a maximum of 1 star.

It was the most stressful year of my life, it felt as though I was constantly battling to keep my student loan I n my pocket as they attempt to charge you for every little thing they can. The staff are so rude and also abruptly enter. Note to comment responder - STOP LYING IN YOUR RESPONSES, WHENEVER ANYBODY ATTEMPTS TO CONTACT YOU VIA EMAIL THERE IS NO RESPONSE. YOU GUYS ARE COMPLETE SCAMS, good luck filling spaces next year ahaha

Great accommodation, good location with a spacious shared kitchen. The staff is also very kind and friendly. They take COVID-19 measures seriously and are more than willing to help with matters such as printing, support and miscellaneous things. Would definitely recommend!

Spent two years of university living at Manor Villages and have had the best experience. Only a 5 minute walk from Jubilee campus and close to many shops and the gym! The staff are always super friendly and helpful and it’s a great place to stay with your friends!

I've been at manor villages since September and I have had a lovely experience staff are very friendly and help with any problems we have. Rooms are a very nice size and the kitchen and bathroom I'm sharing with some lovely flatmates. even with having to find accomodation last minute the staff was very helpful and I managed to get a room. would recommend staying here especially if you have a group of friends and you want to be in the same flat. sharing with 5 other people.

I have been so impressed with the high standards of service that you have given throughout the last 12 months. My son was given his place at Trent through clearing, without accommodation (which as you imagine was very stressful), but as soon as he made contact with Manor Villages, our stress levels were lifted. Every single person in your office has always been very helpful, kind, patient and professional.

For my part I was delighted with the standard, cleanliness and security of the accommodation he was offered. The design, layout and furnishings of the flat made his first year at Uni, a very happy, safe, secure and sociable time. All the way through all your office staff has always been a pleasure to talk to and deal with. Thank you once again for all your help and for making my son’s year at Uni a happy one.

Manor Villages is one of the best student accommodation I lived in during my entire time at university. They offer best student experience as the staff is very friendly and helpful. I would recommend anybody in the future as their first choice of accommodation in Nottingham.

Manor villages is great! The all inclusive bills makes living away from home easy, the rooms are nice and modern, the staff are so helpful and friendly. All for a really good price, would definitely recommend!

Having lived at Manor Villages for two years and going into my third year here now, I would definitely recommend this accommodation to any newcomers. The flats are very modern and spacious, and cosy enough to make it feel like a home. The staff are friendly and approachable, and maintenance is reliable. Re-signers are offered a very good discount and it is definitely worth booking again with Manor Villages.

It is located in a convenient area, very close to the Jubilee campus and town centre, and only a 20 minute walk from the University Park campus. There are plenty of good food places and supermarkets nearby. Lovely place to live!

I've been at Manor Villages for almost two years now and about to leave uni, and loved it here! Lovely, cosy flats that you can make your own, mine have always felt like home! Such cooperative and understanding staff, and the systems always work well (security, keys, parcels etc). The girls in the office are just lovely and can always have a lovely chat with them, they take such an interest in what you're doing and always support you :) overall I've had a wonderful experience here at Manor and would do it all over again!

I went to the office and get my stuff printed, and I uncarefully left my bag there with passport in it. I need it for my flight later tonight. When I noticed I left it there, the reception has already closed. I was panic as no one is in the office and I don't know who exactly to contact. I tried messaging the facebook page and FORTUNATELY I got a reply from one of the staff.

It was at night and she's willing to drove all the way back to the office to return my bag. My flight was saved because of the lovely staff who cared a lot about the residence here. what I can say is I am grateful to have these wonderful staff in manor village to take care of the residence.

Would definitely recommend Manor Villages for student accommodation ! The flats are spacious and well furnished, the building is ideally located next to Lidl and near bus stops, and the staff is always there for you to make you feel comfortable and at home ! As a foreign student, I couldn't have asked for better accommodation

Coming here has been an amazing experience I have met people from all over the world and made so many new friends! The Receptionists are so lovely, always make you feel welcome and if you have any issues they are more than welcome to help you with it. They also have free printing which is very useful as a student. The rooms are standard, beds are comfy, nice working areas, big courtyard, easy access to the bins, the heating is amazing in the flats, the toilets are spacious which is good if your a girl And the kitchen and living space is very modern! Would highly recommend Manor Villages
