5 stars are very less for Mr. Robert King. I would advice anyone wanting to buy a house or rent a house to go to Northwood Romford for a delightful experience. Robert is very cooperative, patient and always answers your call which no estate agent does nowadays. Even post the sale the follow up was really impressive. I can't thank Robert enough for his time and assistance.

Total rubbish agency if you are a tenant they always mess you around on repairs. They never get back to you when they say they will they feed you a load of old nonsense. I have had 2 so called supervisors say to me over the past few months about a fence repair. "Well if you don't like it then you know what you can do" I have even been accused of damaging the fence myself.

I have been a model tenant with them for over 10 years now and it is the same old story with them everyone something needs doing. I would give them minus stars if possible. Now having finally getting ot into a new place the thieves are refusing to pay my 1 months extra rent back that I paid at the begining. I paid 2 months rent upfront

We originally opted for an e-contract but we were not clear how the process would work. Particularly we were concerned about the fact that e-payment of rents and contract completion do not happen at the same time, creating huge uncertainty to us. I realised the problem and went to the branch. It was a Saturday and they were about to close. However, once they understood my concern, Sharon and Brian quickly suggested a workable solution. Sharon, in particular, co-ordinated different parties to get the contract completed in a pragmatic, efficient, flexible and professional way.

She went the extra mile and made sure the matter was sorted, even if it meant working overtime. Thanks Sharon and the Romford office for their efficiency and professionalism. I hope the experience after move-in will be as great too.

I have been a private tenant with northwood romford for 11years I had no problems with them each time I call for a repairs there get on to it straight away.and their are all helpful and polite. I recommend northwood.

I decided to go with Northwoods Romford office to sell my flat as I have generally heard great things about them, it certainly lives up to the mark. Absolutely stream less from beginning to end, no hassle or complications they dealt with everything so professionally which took the pressure off me and made it look so easy. I would have been satisfied with your service if I was not given a hope then after the viewing. I viewed the property last Thursday as the first applicant and gave the application after the viewing. Then I waited for one week for your response. In between someone rang me up from the agency and told that everything was fine with my application but the landlord just want to let others also yo view the property as they had booked viewing already. Did not get any more response from your side, so I did ring up twice to the agency and was told that my application is still valid.

As I did not get any updates even after a week, I rang up today morning and got the information that my application was unsuccessful. By doing this, your staff wasted my time and gave me false assurance, also did not even bother to let me know about the outcome of the application and the reason for rejection. Hence I feel my experience with the agency was not that good.

The property I moved into not only was it dirty, there were chunks of god knows what caked on the floor I had to literally scrape it all off then clean it. The fireplace had tea or coffee stains all over it, the carpets were not clean so I had to clean them myself. The fridge was disgusting it was tinged with the smell of curry so that all had to be cleaned before use.

When my fridge freezer stopped working they told me to get the fridge freezer from the cellar and use that. It was covered in mould all in the ceils and I had to buy sugar soap to scrub it after asking for help to get a fridge freezer up from the cellar which they didn't supply. I've had damp and mould in my home for years which they did absolutely nothing about only send me a patronising leaflet about condensation and tell me to ventilate the property. The mould and damp ruined my furniture, clothes and shoes and they took no responsibility just told me to claim it on my insurance which means it will cost me more money

After collecting the keys to what we thought would be our home, we was disgusted to find the property so dirty. After paying such a large deposit to have a pet in the property and signing to agree to fumigate when we moved out, the property was covered in dog hair! Dog hair was stuck to the walls and dog mess present in the garden. The windows were filthy or was it the previous tenants dogs nose art and we should have appricated the extra little treat!?

The kitchen was full of grease and was scrapped off in chunks, making a truckers greasy spoon like a 5 star restaurant. I was told by Tina the manager to just detail it on the inventory and my comments would be noted! I was told that when we moved out these items would be taken in to consideration and the property was let as seen. So basically live with it. So people when you view a property with Northwood make sure you look at how the other person lives and what little extras You may receive rent free!

Agents don't get more morally bankrupt than this! I have had the displeasure of dealing with this company as a tenant. If you are a landlord and you care about the fair treatment of human beings, go elsewhere! We were renting a property and requested to change 2 tenants, who we had found ourselves, due to 2 people moving out. They wanted £600 to change 2 names on a contract.

When I asked what these charges were for, I received patronising and inadequate answers.

Realising that we going to stand up for ourselves, they claimed that the Landlord wanted us evicted due to the recent inspection report, and served an eviction notice. However, said report DID NOT EXIST (there was only an email with 5 bullet points (nowhere near the thorough report we had seen after the first inspection)), and I later spoke to the landlord WHO WAS ON HOLIDAY IN SPAIN AND HAD NOT SEEN ANY REPORT NOR WAS AWARE THAT WE WERE BEING EVICTED.

Northwood Bristol are corporate parasites and professional liars.

They fed their profit from our misery, after we had kept the property in good condition (as evidenced by the full deposit being returned to us after the tenancy) and we had paid rent on time every month.

I have have been using the Northampton Branch of Northwood for many years now. They have always been excellent to deal with much better than my previous agent!. I have found the staff are professional and incredibly helpful. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to rent in Northamptonshire.

After constantly having issues with my previous letting agent I decided to change to Northwood Northampton on their guaranteed rent scheme. I can't believe how easy it has been since changing its exactly as they said it would be and the staff have always been a pleasure to deal with. Many thanks and keep up the good work;

I have been renting my house through Northwoods for a few years now - in all that time the service has been getting worse and worse and in fact it is now dire. The only reason I had stayed with this company is because they guarantee the rental - which doesn't even cover the mortgage! My house was totally vandalised a short while ago and I was not even told!!

I went back to sort a few things out and found the house empty and the property damaged beyond belief - no carpets, lino etc., dog mess/urine everywhere (I said I didn't want dogs in the property). Wallpaper pulled off and red paint all over the walls. The carpets (some new) were soaked in urine. My curtains were pinched and the list goes on ......

I was fuming! When I was at the property a woman (I won't mention names) from the agency appeared (in 5" heels and done up looking like she was off to the local disco not working at a letting agency!) and said I'm terribly sorry, how I didn't hit her I don't know - the agency keep around J200.00 of my rental every month because I live a long way from the property I have full management/platinum with them.

Eventually after much complaining they apologised and have (so say) put the property right - that remains to be seen. I have had a number of issues over the years and this is only one of them. Their lastest? Taking money straight from my rental for work which has not been authorised by me! Obviously I should be informed when any repairs need doing and I can arrange for my own workman to come in - Northwoods usually charge J70.00 per hour!

I am not happy so I am taking this further. They have now let to another DHSS (even though they say they don't they do!) a single mum with a dog. (Yes! I couldn't believe it myself). Also the locks were changed without my consent and I have NO key to my own property!! I shall definately be looking elsewhere next year or I shall put the house on the market.

I have been a tenant with Northwood for about 2.5 years. The list of issues I have with them is absolutely endless and I cannot believe they anyone would go back to them for repeat business. In fact, I cannot believe that they are surviving the recession. They make attempts to rob you of cash at every oppertunity:

When renewing an existing contract, they aim to charge you 25 GBP for the privilege - 'admin charge'.

When increasing the rent, they write you a letter and aim to charge you 25 GBP for the privilege - 'admin charge'. If your rent is x days late, they will try to charge you interest. If you wish to be present at a property inspection, and cannot make a specified time (dictated by them) they will charge you 80GBP (!!!!!) for altering a time (convenient to you).

When they write you a letter, it will be in BOLD littered with spelling mistakes, as will the contract-in some cases they will not not even spell your name correctly. They are supposed to be agents/property managers etc, but merely pass you over to the actual owner of the property in the event of problem with the property-adding no value whatsoever-either way.

They have no 'out of hours' emergency number-when the alarm on our rented house started going off for no reason, it was fortunate that our neighbours had the telephone number of the owners-who came by and sorted the proble, Northwood have been no help whatsoever. You will probably not get your deposit back: In the unlikely event that you haven't gathered a rake load of 'admin charges' over a 2 year period for this letter or that letter (unavoidable), they will claim that you are liable for rent for the duration of your contract, even beyond dates stipulated by the notice period.

What is the point I ask in having a notice period if you are liable for the rent for the entire contract?????? In the event your boiler packs up and you have no hot water, they will have no interest in sorting out a problem with any great urgency. They will just fob you off for as long as possible until you start to get scary with them. They increase the rent every 6 months. THEN, attempt to let the property out after your departure for less money than you were paying for the duration of your contract!!!!

If that isn't enough to put you off, I don't know what is. I have rented from several other agents in the past, (Kingsley Thomas, Mayfair Property, Andrews) who have all been very reasonable; or as reasonable as lettings agents seem in comparison to these Northwood. They provide an awful service and are complete cowboys. They make any other agent seem like a charity. Avoid at all costs and do not use!!!!!
