This company makes things up as it goes along. Absolutely no idea of their legal duties and/or the requirements of GDPR. They seem to charge whatever figure comes to mind and there appears to be no set pricing strategy. A complete basket case. No idea why anyone would want to give chocolates unless of course they're writing their own reviews. Only giving 1 star as it wont allow me to submit no stars.

Leaving a review off my wifes business email as it wont allow me to give one off my email address. What a shambles was given the keys to a property with no electric, gas that could not be signed off safe from the plumber, when trying to contact the home rental company to sort it you just get escusses. After 1 night at the property we had to leave because it wasnt safe. Trying to get the bond and months rent back over 1100 has just been a nightmare trying to communicate with their property manager who is joke. when the home rental company wanted stuff from me it had to be done asap but trying to get help and my money back from them what a joke. Please please dont use this company you will be sorry, unprofessional, selfish, dangerous company.

Enquired about a Property in St Claers, South Wales, they were more interested in my guarantors details than my own, which I was not willing to provide at the early stage of enquiry. I hadn't even seen the property in person yet. When I said I was not willing to disclose a guarantors details I was told I was "wasting their time" by a very rude lady at which point I put the phone down. Judging by the other reviews on here I realise The Home Rental Company is not a reputable business and will be avoiding like the plague in my search for my next Lettings.

We used the home rental company to rent a home in CARMS. From the start they showed collectively that the whole company is incompetent. The communication throughout the office is poor. They will charge you for anything that they can. I read some reviews on here after i had encountered some of the staff and was relieved that my gut feeling in regards to an indiviual was correct.
I would be extremely cautious using The Home Rental company. Make sure that if you do have to go through this awful impersonal company, you keep any emails or contact that you have with them. We lived in a mould filled house that was so cold in the winter. I tried on numerous occasions for something to be done about the living conditions we were living in.
I explained how much we were spending on heating oil and how cold we all were, nothing was done. I showed videos and communicated my concerns about the mould. Again nothing was done. It took me months of asking for something to be actioned in regards to the mould, eventually we had a company to come and inspect it, shockingly they stated it was down to condensation caused by us as tennants not openning windows.
I had already bought a dehumidifyer as the house was so damp! When i say we had mould i mean water running down the walls, brown, black and green mould collecting on three walls of our bedroom, ceiling and in every corner of the house. upstairs and down. The attitude of the staff is disgusting, they say at the start that they are there for us as tennants to protect us, this is so far from the truth, they are the most concerned about making money.
We moved out and had our bond back 12 weeks later as we were desputing the claim. Not only did they we request that we were to be charged to have the yard jet washed, they also reqested that we were the ones to foot the bill of actually having the mold cleaned of the walls! my advice to you is that if you choose to use this company keep a log of all communication and ensure that the ongoing issues are drawn to a close, they will take you for your last penny! Be aware and be very cautious.

They managed a property for me, they let the tenant leave early without paying last months rent. They didn't pick up on tenant keeping pets against the agreed tenancy. Had to pay a lot of money for repairs. It was too stressful to take to a moneyclaim. The boss of the company Jamie almost reduced a family member to tears. No accountability.

My only dealing with this company was in looking for a let and from that I would not want them as my landlord. They did not listen to what they were being told, constantly calling and emailing with properties that were outside what they were told we were looking for. The last time I spoke with when and I said it was not suitable they just hung up! Bloody rude! They make you feel like you are nothing. We are still looking for a place but will Not use them, even if they had the perfect place no way. Should be zero stars.

LANDLORDS BE AWARE: I was having dealings with a potential tenant without the use of an agency, and as a professional building surveyor I do my own background checks on tenants, and soon enough discovered the person was fraudulent - fake pay slips, poor credit, and in rent arrears (just over 1500 - nearly 3 months) to his current landlord. I had been made aware by the prospective tenant that he had recently looked at a property through The Home Rental Company but much preferred to go for mine. Needless to say, this was of no interest to me after my discovery.
Understanding how much of a nightmare a tenant like this is, I took it upon myself to notify the branch so they could prevent this person renting from one of their clients. However, the female "senior"member of staff (negotiator) smirked and laughed and said that it was not her problem, it was the landlords (her clients) problem, she was just the agent and she had done her "checks".
She even said that she had her own feelings that the person was dodgy. She and her female colleague were VERY defensive when I started to discuss the issue as they thought I was "stealing" their tenant. Any sensible, decent human being would have taken my information on board, as I had all the paperwork on me regarding the fraud. A very pathetic, unmoral way to do business. MONEY OVER ANYTHING.
Do not trust their checks, and I absolutely advise landlords to do their own background checks if they feel something is not right. I would certainly recommend using a PROPER estate agency who actually have a name for themselves. There's a reason why this company is so small - they cannot obtain money or business the correct way, so they do it whichever way they can!

Where do I Start. If I could give 0 Stars I would. For anyone looking to rent in Carmarthen stay well away from The Home Rental Company. They're Staff are incredibly rude, arrogant and are complete Liars. In my 22 Month Tennancy with the Home rental I had numerous problems which started on day 1 of the Tennancy and continued until I left the Property.
They will lie to you to get you to sign for the Property and then deny all knowledge of any promises. They will not sort out issues you have with the property and will not allow you to have access or contact with the Landlord. Leon the Property Maintenance Manager is a absolute Joker, consistently caught out lying about numerous issues which when he was found out he then had the Managing Director of the Company send a letter to Me explaining Leon's Lies as missed typing.
When on inspections He said he would do numerous things to help get issues resolved yet as soon as he gets back to the office just emails you telling you the issues are because of things you are doing E. G Mold, Damp from drying clothes in house or having curtains Closed too much. When you try and get things sorted they will just ban you from the office claiming your being threatening yet you have full proof that your not.
In the end I had to get Environmental Health involved who set out specific things for the Landlord to carry out, with the Property having High Category 2 Hazards ( in perspective Cat 1 would be ceiling falling down etc) Home Rental made me live in this Property with my Young Son which had dangerous and hazardous Conditions which they were unwilling to sort, would rather just argue over email and lie. For anyone looking at these please stay Clear. They will take your money and have Zero interest if you have any issues.
