Only been living in one of there properties for a couple of weeks and it seems as if they do not value their tenants at all. We were told that the place would be checked and cleaned in which neither of those things were done. They do not reply to emails and overall this company want to make me break my tenancy and find a new place to live. Unacceptable.

Awful lettings agents, make the tenants feel very unwelcome. We had to deal with them for over 8 years and I was glad when we moved out because Belvoir were unhelpful and unfriendly.

Belvoir Lettings are an experience best avoided. I recently spent 1 year in a rented property in Bottesford, was a model tenant and paid full rent on time without exception. I paid approx 1000.00 deposit. When I left the property, I felt that it was in good condition, save for a few stains to the paint work which were a result of a water leak and not to be attributed to myself.

I arrived for the handover meeting on time, Belvoir Lettings were 25 mins late for the appointment but then suggested the place was in good order generally but made it clear that they would be guided by the landlord. I had to pay 50 for this "service", hidden in the terms and it was completely worthless. I would not have minded so much except to say that the next correspondence was to inform me that they were going to deduct circa 350, no specific reasoning, details etc.

I suggested that we discussed the matter which they point blank refused to do. I asked them to give a breakdown of their costs in order that I could either dispute, deal with myself or reach a compromise. Belvoir, in keeping with their usual attitude, refused to do any of this and immediately referred it to the adjudicator. The move date was end of June, some 3 months later it is "still awaiting adjudicator's decision" and by the way, they are entirely uncontactable.

There is a phone number which constantly has a message regarding their unusually high volume of calls without the ability to leave a message and no reply email address So, be aware that they will not enter into any dialogue whatsoever, they will charge you for a visit to inspect but not offer any worthwhile opinion and you will be a long time waiting for your deposit.
