Charged me 300 pounds to end my contrast and transfer to a new tenant when the landlord was happy for me to change tenancy without a fee and I found a replacement tenant. They could have just charged the new tenant admin fee. I could have found the tenant myself. Hi

Do not trust this company with your deposit as they give it to the wrong person. I paid them 1700 as a deposit for a friends flat and when the flat fell through they did NOT give me my money back but given it to other parson. A good company would have paid it straight back into your bank account. This company is unprofessional do not trust them with your money. M Pennell

A great experience looking for first flat. All questions answered very quickly and always reachable my phone. After viewing and confirming interest the turnaround on administration was very quick with agents who had knowledge of the flat and surroundings.

I have had an excellent experience with Harringtons Lettings. I found them through a lovely house on Rightmove. They have been very welcoming, friendly and professional. They have also responded to any queries very quickly which has been very helpful.

Harringtons has been nothing but brilliant in the 3 and a half years we've been living at this property. Always fast to respond and we've always been taken seriously with any enquiry or problem. Whenever I've talked to a member of staff they're always super friendly and professional.

They dont check your credit rating or job, the only thing they accept is a UK homeowner guarantor?! Which is for 1 of 2 reasons. 1. under law they can longer pass that cost on to the renter or 2. Its red lining. Only agency ive heard of that do this. So if your family dont own property, dont bother

They are completely against human rights, been an immigrant means that I don't have anyone in the UK for been my guarantor in the UK, and because of that they didn't want me to have the choice to rent a room, stand up for your rights my girlies!every company that does that is against human rights

Very professional staff and easy documentation through online docs. Well planned and systematic process with genuiene helping intentions and quickly clarifies all the doubts with right information. I'm so happy to find Harringtons.

Worst letting agent I have used. At the start of tenancy keys did not fit any of the locks for the property. Instead of resolving the issue I was asked to travel to the office (which is in the middle of nowhere not sure why they're managing Brighton properties) to collect a spare set of keys. However upon arrival was told they weren't sure the key actually worked and said "hopefully it will" not professional at all.

Throughout the tenancy treating tenants like children and escalating every matter to guarantors with little or no communication. Very unhelpful any time they were contacted regarding an issue in the property. At the end of tenancy did not give any communication for 1 month regarding the return of deposit. Only when told legal action would be taken did they respond and began process to return deposit. If you're looking for a letting agent in Brighton, steer well clear of Harringtons.

So bad. Were rude and unresponsive during our entire tenancy even with issues pertaining to damp and mould. Then tried to charge us cleaning fees (which as of 2020 are illegal) and were unreachable when trying to clear this up, bounced me around to various staff members, none of which had a clue what was going on. Very unprofessional, would not recommend. EDITED FOR REPLY FROM OWNER We had workmen come a few times and the damp issue was only ever briefly fixed, never did the work required to fix the issue.

The times that you offered us for getting someone in to fix the issue was in the last few weeks of our tenancy at times that did not suit us. You had a YEAR. illegal cleaning fees as in it is illegal (as of June 2020 to charge cleaning fees) we only paid it because we were told there was a 60 fee on top of that to dispute the fees, wasn't worth it in the end.

Compared to previous unhelpful experiences with other estate agents, Harringtons excelled in every way with excellent fast communication, and extremely warm and helpful staff. I found the letting process smooth and easy, and the website was also really resourceful and informative for other information I found useful. Would definitely recommend this agency and couldn't fault it at all.

Since my first interaction with Harrington's Lettings, all their staff have been extremely helpful, friendly, courteous, professional and most importantly effective. I appreciate the transparency from them and their excellent & frequent communication. Every time I've called someone has answered quickly and been helpful. It's often a nightmare dealing with lettings agents as a tenant as it can be so hit-and-miss, sometimes a pleasant experience and sometimes the opposite.

I have enjoyed working with Harringtons thus far and consider them to be one of the best agents I've had to deal with to date. Each step of the way to moving my family into our new home has been a positive experience and I cannot recommend Harringtons Lettings enough. They are a superb team to work with

I was very happy with the overall service I received from Harrington lettings over the past 12 months. From viewing to getting back my deposit in full they always responded quickly and sorted any problems with the flat immediately. Standard of the flat was high quality same as their service overall. I would definitely use Harringtons again if I needed to rent again.

I never lost a penny out of my deposit so I definitely didn’t expect to give these disgusting people (I refer to Harringtons) a present of £100. We argued with them for a month about the price taken from the deposit. Harringtons thought that they can steal from us £700. Even though we left that old, God forbidden place, in a better condition that we got it!!

They refused to do a deep cleaning of the house when we moved in, however didn’t forget to charge us by the end of the tenancy for that! We lived with the hole in the ceiling for an year (leakage) because they could not arrange a day to fix it! However they didn’t forget to add ridiculous amount of sum to be taken from my deposit!!! Luckily, me and my housemate read the contract and took photos before we moved in and after.

This helped to put them back to their place, because they realised themselves that THEY ARE STEALING OUR MONEY. So we managed to reduce the deposit taken from £700 to £200 (!!!!!) Just think about it! They didn’t have any justifiable reason to take even those £200!! But we got fed up with them by these years. So take it as a present, and hopefully that is the last money you see in your life. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE PEOPLE TO DEAL WITH, UNPROFESSIONAL, LIARS WITH ONLY ONE THOUGHT IN THEIR HEADS OF HOW TO STEAL YOUR MONEY.
Forgot to say, couple of months ago they started bothering my guarantor for some cloudy sum that I haven’t paid.

Guess what it appeared to be? A bug in their program! But they didn’t forget to be extremely rude to demand money I didn’t owe them!!! And never apologised for that in front of my guarantor!! Fun fact: in 2018 ( we’ve been renting that property for two years) I received an email asking to give them a good review online for £10. Now you know. All those who left a good review here haven’t met their real faces yet:)

Just rented out a flat with Harringtons and I all went smoothly. The flat was nice and clean when I moved in and the staff seems helpfull so all good.

Harringtons are a fantastic Letting Agent. We moved into our property almost three years ago and they were efficient before the tenancy and fantastic every step of the way. Plenty of notice is given regarding inspections, the feedback is always fabulous and they are quite happy to get involved if we need repairs etc. Would recommend them to anyone.

The moving in process was made easy and Hannah who recently carried out an inspection at our house, got some maintenance issues sorted very quickly. I know my group and I would be happy renting through them again next year.
